TOUCH TECHNOLOGIES: PROJECTED-CAPACITIVE (PCAP)

Projected-capacitive screen has an electrostatic field. A touch event occurs when a finger or conductive stylus interferes with the electric field projected above the surface.

LONG SERVICE LIFE
LONG SERVICE LIFE

Projected-capacitive screens are made using triplex technology. Such displays are equipped with protective glass, thus minor mechanical damage to the screen (scratches, scuffs) does not affect the operation of the equipment. Touch screens are often used in ticket machines, ATMs, information terminals, etc. They sustain heavy operating conditions, which makes them ideal for both on-board and land transports, aviation and navigation systems.

CONVENIENT INTERACTION
CONVENIENT INTERACTION
  • Supports multitouch
  • The screen recognizes the touch of a finger and a special stylus, but will not respond to e.g. a pencil. Suitable for medical equipment management, when the operator wears thin gloves.

  • Supports gesture control
  • Touch interface allows scrolling, swiping, zooming and scaling.

  • High transparency of the touch screen
  • The touch glass does not affect the clarity and brightness of the display image.

  • Anti-vandal glass
  • Anti-vandal glass provides reliable protection for the display making it almost impossible to break unintentionally.

STABLE OPERATION
STABLE OPERATION
  • High throughput capacity
  • Equipment using projected capacitive touch technology can be used by a huge number of users daily.

  • Water and condensation on the working surface will not disable the screen
  • Water or dust on the working surface will not affect the performance of the screen. The touchscreen panel will resume working correctly when the moisture is wiped or dried by itself. Additional protection required against humidity on components of certain electronic parts (controller, connectors) of the equipment.

  • The working surface of the screen is protected against corrosion and oxidation
  • In case of minor contamination, PCAP screen needs to be cleaned with a wet wipe. The touch screen will continue to work even if it is exposed to raindrops, dust, snow, or insects.

  • Wide operating temperature range
  • PCAP screens are engineered to function in any climate, including extremely cold/hot weather, excessive snowfalls, rain or dust. At low / high operating temperatures it is necessary maintain the heating / cooling of the equipment with a built-in touch screen.
