SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH KEETOUCH TOUCH FILM

Keetouch Nano Foil is a fragile gadget. Therefore, it’s important to take extra precautions in order not to damage it and so that the touch film remains operational afterwards.

HOW TO TRANSPORT AND STORE KEETOUCH NANO FOIL

Keetouch touch film can be transported flat in a cardboard box or rolled in a cardboard tube. After removing the film from the shipping container, do not unroll it while suspended in midair. Place the film on a flat surface the size of the film then carefully unroll.

Large-sized unrolled touch film cannot be moved from place to place by just one person. To prevent the formation of creases on the film, carry it by four corners stretched. Store Keetouch touch film unrolled on a flat surface.

HOW TO TEST KEETOUCH TOUCH FILM BEFORE INSTALLATION

To test the performance of the Nano Foil capacitive film, place it on a flat surface and cover it with a protective glass. Then connect the controller. The touch film is protected by a plastic liner on each side. Do not remove the protective liner until ready to install. The touch film is supplied already calibrated: top, bottom, right and left orientation is working correctly when the side of the film with the FRONT sticker is facing upfront. In order to perform the installation of the film correctly refer the position of the film to the image on the display (see the illustration).

HOW TO PREPARE KEETOUCH TOUCH FILM FOR INSTALLATION

The adhesive is only applied on the front side of the touch film, indicated by a FRONT sticker. Adjust the touch film to the protective glass only with the front adhesive side. Do not remove the protective liner from the touch film without applying a liquid spray to the front adhesive side: when dry, the touch film does not adhere properly to the glass. Use a clean, dry cloth to remove loose dirt or smudges. A dry lint-free micro-fiber cloth, industrial paper towel or non-abrasive cleaning wipes are ideally suited for that. Moisten the back surface of the glass panel with small amount of a mild soap-and-water solution using a spray bottle. Do not remove the protective liner while the touch film is suspended in midair, instead put the touch film on a flat surface. When removing the protective layer with the FRONT sticker, moisten the adhesive surface with small amount of a mild soap-and-water solution using a spray bottle.

HOW TO INSTALL KEETOUCH TOUCH FILM

Carefully place the stretched touch film front adhesive side down onto the back surface of the glass panel. Soap-and-water solution applied to the front side of the touch film and the surface of the glass will not allow the film to get fixed immediately. Gently slide the touch film over the glass to correct the position. When the touch film is correctly positioned on the glass, remove any remaining soap solution from between the film and the glass. To do this, squeegee out water and air bubbles working outwards from the center. Do not use sharp abrasive objects that can damage the film. While removing the water spray the BACK surface of the film with a small amount of the soap-and-water solution to prevent scratches. After removing the soap-and-water solution and air bubbles, leave the touch film to dry and adhere. It might take up to 24 hours to dry completely. Only after the touch film is completely dry, remove the protective liner from the BACK surface of the film.

HOW TO CONNECT KEETOUCH TOUCH FILM

Connect the controller only after the touch film is completely dry. Leave a small 3-5 mm gap between the monitor display and the film to prevent the sensitive touch layer of the Nano Foil react to interference and noise that the monitor creates.
